I absolutely love the simplicity of this shot: The textures add depth of field; the tar and the grain in the wood. A couple of constructive criticsms would be: To reshoot this (if possible) on a cloudy day so that you do not get the shadow of the nut and to recompose the shot so that you have a little more of the wood to the right of the nut, bolt and washer. That being said...I really do love it! It would look fabulous done as a metal print to show off the detail and keep that "rough" texture.

I do agree that I need more to the right of the nut. I'll have to take a look at the out of camera shot, but I don't believe any cropping was done to this image. I may reshoot on a cloudy day, too, but I do like the shadow in this shot. No reason not to offer several different versions though. Thanks again for your comments!
