Description
A short excursion train is being led by Lehigh Valley Coal #126 on the South Carolina Railroad Museum in 2007. Lehigh Valley Coal Company #126 "Sadie" is an 0-6-0ST saddle tank engine, built by Vulcan Iron Works for the Lehigh Valley Coal Company, and put into service in May 1931.
The "fire" train comes in as the steam train waits to leave again in Winnsboro, South Carolina. It would follow the little steam engine with a tank of water to put out any brush fires that might start. It is lead by a Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton RS4TC1A locomotive that was built for the United States Air Force in 1952. It last served at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina
