"It's very exciting to be part of this book by Mr. Carlson," Hinson said recently. "There is a rich history of small railroads in North and South Carolina, some fallen flags, but many are still operating, and it's nice to see them get some recognition.

Joseph C. Hinson Photography and Joe the Photog Dot Com are pleased to announce three new Limited Time Promotions. "These three images are all from South Carolina," Hinson said proudly. One is from my hometown and another is from the area I live in currently. They are three iconic images each showing a different aspect of South Carolina history."
The first image was made on Opening Day of the baseball season in 2011 at Carolina Stadium, the home of the then-reigning NCAA Baseball National Champion South Carolina Gamecocks. Starting pitcher Michael Roth has the Santa Clara player leaning back toward first as he gets ready to deliver a pitch. South Carolina pulled away late to win 12 to 5.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Joseph C. Hinson Photography and Joe the Photog Dot Com are pleased to announce three different Carolina Southern Railroad images are now for sale. "Now that we know the fate of the Carolina Southern, I felt it was a good time to revisit these photographs," Hinson said. It was recently announced that the R.J. Corman Railroad Group would purchase the Carolina Southern from current owner Ken Pippin. This move will effectively make the Carolina Southern a fallen flag railroad. R.J. Corman plans to run the railroad as their Carolina Lines Division.
"If I knew then what I know now, I would have made a better effort to get down and shoot this railroad before they shut down," Hinson said. "Still, I'm pretty pleased with the shots I have of them."
The first of three 14X11 canvas prints offered as Limited Time Promotions is a July, 2006 shot of three...
