Description
Two old Southern Railway engines shove a short train out of Lancaster, SC to the AmeriSteel spike plant northwest from here. Lancaster and Chester #2829 and 2866 were built for Southern Railway in 1974 and carry the same numbers before both were sold to the Gulf & Ohio Railways. 2829 was chop nosed by the G&O before being sent to the L&C but 2866 retains her high short hood.
