Description
Crew members for the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad in Pennsylvania get their Baldwin 2-8-0 steam engine ready for another run in this photograph from February, 2006. The NHI #40 is dressed up here for her original owner, the Lancaster and Chester Railway of South Carolina. The L&C bought her new in 1925 and sold her in 1947 when the railroad went fully diesel.
